Decorative Products

There are many applications where the natural surface of Particleboard and Medium Density Fibreboard needs to be decorated and/or protected.

Clear finishes and paints should be used according to the instructions of their manufacturer. High pressure decorative laminates, used for kitchen bench tops and many commercial applications, are generally applied by the cabinet maker, joiner or shopfitter. Care must be taken to ensure that decorate overlays are matched on each side of the panel. Unbalanced (i.e. single side) construction will present problems in maintaining panel flatness unless panels are rigidly fixed to a solid frame or base.
